| Jon's expertise stems from a lifelong interest in art. He graduated from Pratt Institute in New York in 1990, majoring in illustration. He continued his studies for another year at the Rhode Island School of Design. Jon first learned the techniques of airbrushing with Paramount's Kings Dominion near Richmond, VA. In 1994, He and former partner Brian Dickens set up their shop "Air Dynamics" in Newport News, VA. Jon has recieved numerous awards for his work. The most recent was the first place Award for Excellence in airbrushing on textiles at the 1999 International Airbrush Show in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany. He has contributed "How to" articles for several airbrush magazines. His subject matter covers a wide spectrum of material and media, from portraits to automobiles. |
